In a truly bizarre clip appearing on Twitter, a player is filmed complaining that Caesars Sportsbook refuses to pay him his $500,000 winnings after he admits to using a beard.
A beard refers to a person who places a bet for someone else in order to conceal the identity of the real bettor. This would be considered a violation of Caesar''s rules.
You'd be forgiven for thinking the clip is fake but this type of filming is forbidden within a casino establishment.

The apparent ticket is shown below and involves an NBA Championship win by the Boston Celtics.
The clip only began appearing on Twitter and Reddit in recent days but has since gone viral.
A Twitter user explains the sportsbook policy.
"The bet was placed by a messenger, or in his words “his bookie” which is illegal. For a bet this big, YOU have to place the bet yourself. The entire bet gets voided after this and even the person that placed the bet for him CANNOT collect. He snitched on himself on his instagram."
A Redditor also chimed in on the ordeal. This individual is not prepared to let Caesars off that easy however.
"Looks like he was hired by the casino as an instagram influencer, where they would pay him to record himself gambling there, as long as he kept his bets below a certain amount. He bet above that and wins and they didn't catch it right away. He goes to get paid out and then they notice and don't pay. He complains, so they kick him out and ban him from all locations.
"Technically, it's in the contract. Ethically, it's still their mistake and it's quite bad that they're acting this way."
Another Redditor questioned what is really going on here.
"I have heard two different stories, not sure if either is true… First, is that he had someone else place the bet for him. They weren’t refusing to pay out on the bet, only refusing to pay him since he wasn’t the one who placed it.
"The other story story/theory I’ve heard is that he was hired by Caesar’s as a brand ambassador/influencer. However the cap them at a certain amount that they can bet and he way over the cap. They didn’t catch it until he went to get paid out, so they refused to pay, but gave him his $143K back and banned him. If this story is true and not the other, I feel the casino could be found liable. If he went over a cap set for him, they should have noticed when he placed the bet. I’m almost certain the gaming commission says once a bet has been placed it has to be paid out upon winning "
