On Thursday night, President Joe Biden received some more bad news.  This time it came from our friends at BetOnline.

Biden's odds crashed from 8-1 to 16-1.  OUCH!!!  BIG OUCH!!!

We were a little scared to check in Friday morning but here it goes!  There was an uptick.

By Saturday evening, he recovered quite a bit, perhaps on news Biden continues to dig in.  His current odds were sitting at +750 heading into Sunday.

As noted Thursday evening, the true beneficiary was not former president and GOP nominee Donald Trump but rather current Vice President Kamala Harris.  Her odds moved from 8-1 to +275 (paying out $27.50 for every $10 bet).

Trump's odds Saturday were -225, Harris was at +325.

"What happens is you'll get this great price with everyone betting Harris, and maybe a little more on Trump," explains Payton O'Brien of Gambling911.com.  "A few think it's still possible that Biden will hang around and ultimately win the election and, at 16-1 odds, it's really all about taking a shot at that point.  This brings the price back down.

"Also you'll have a few people seeing Trump speak to accept his third nomination and be thinking perhaps some voters might rethink that Trump vote with talk of 'the late great Hannibal Lechter'."

Trump's odds were sitting at -210.  That's nearly a full point difference in the wrong direction from 48 hours ago.  He peaked at -300 following Saturday's assassination attempt.

On Friday there were more Democrat defections.   The most notable among those was Montana senior U.S. senator and only Democratic member of the Congressional delegation, Jon Tester.

So far he is only the second Democrat in the Senate to officially ask Biden to exit.  Reports have surfaced that former President Barack Obama, U.S. House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-New York, and Senate Majority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer, D-New York, also visited with Biden recently, privately asking him to reconsider his decision to remain in the race.

“Montanans have put their trust in me to do what is right, and it is a responsibility I take seriously. I have worked with President Biden when it has made Montana stronger, and I’ve never been afraid to stand up to him when he is wrong,” Tester said. “And while I appreciate his commitment to public service and our country, I believe President Biden should not seek re-election to another term.”

Only Vermont’s Sen. Peter Welch, a fellow Democrat in the Senate, has publicly called for Biden not to seek re-election.
