BetOnline's 2024 NBA Finals USA Rooting Interest Map, T20 World Cup Cricket Odds

The map below is based on geotagged X data from Friday May 31st to now, tracking official fan hashtags in every state. For example, #OneForDallas (Mavericks) and #DifferentHere (Celtics). Over 130,000 tweets were tracked.

As you can see from the map, most of the US will be rooting for the Dallas Mavericks, despite the Celtics nationwide fanbase. There's clearly a regional component at play as well, as the east coast is primarily for the Celtics.  Not surprisingly, New York and New Jersey is rooting for Dallas as there is a heated rivalry between New York City (and its surrounding area) and Boston sports fans.

T20 World Cup Cricket Odds

The ninth edition of the Cricket T20 World Cup takes place this week with America serving as host country.

Matches will be played in Florida, Texas and New York, but Team USA comes into the tournament as a hefty underdog.

We’ve set odds for each team to take home the T20 title. The U.S. falls into the category of extreme longshot with 250/1 odds.

The Americans play Pakistan in their tourney opener Thursday, and they are the equivalent of 17-point underdogs in football.
