“The Rangers are a huge hazard for us, we get bet all year long on every single game, they’re the most popular team in hockey when it comes to hockey betting,” DraftKings Director of Trading Johnny Avello told the New York Post. “There are New Yorkers throughout the country, so every game, in every state and in every series expects to have a massive amount of money come in on the Rangers.

“I can tell you, easily, that the Rangers are our biggest liability these playoffs.

“They are underdogs in Game 2 because we factor in the urgency with which the Hurricanes will play after losing Game 1,” Avello explained.

Erich Richter calls the Rangers "the most popular team in hockey betting".

As this was going to publication, the Rangers were up 1-0 over Carolina.  New York entered into this Game 2 as a +102 to +104 home dog depending on the book.

They were underdogs in the first home game of this series as well but are now favored to win the series.

BetOnline Were Big Cavs Fans Tuesday Night

The Celtics entered Tuesday night's Game 1 against the Cleveland Cavaliers as another big home favorite at -12.5.

Dave Mason of BetOnline tweeted:

Team @BetOnline_ag
big time Cavs fans tonight. Have to go with my Paul Mokeski jersey.

70% BOS -12.5
96% BOS -800
64% O 211.5

The Cavaliers came back from being down 18 points in Game 7 against the Orlando Magic to advance to the next round.

Coming off of his 50-point game in Game 6, Donovan Mitchell scored 39 points in Game 7. His 89 points over the final two games of the series are the second most in Games 6 and 7 in NBA history, trailing only Allen Iverson's 90 in 2001.

"I'm tired of losing in the first round," Mitchell said. "You work too hard. We work too hard. That was my mindset ... for me, just be in attack mode. I'm battling through what I'm battling through, but I could battle through it and figure it out, or rehab it for the next three or four months. That's where I'm at mentally."
