The Iowa-UConn women's basketball Final Four was one for the ages, but many of those watching believed the refs may have had future bets on the Hawkeyes.

J.A. Scott offered up his impression of the ending via Twitter:

"Not only do the refs suck but losing the Iowa -2.5 cover was rough as well. Clark misses a free throw and Iowa rebounds and instead of a foul it's a jump ball. Then Clark throws it off of Bueckers not looking taking more clock down and UCONN can't get foul in time."

Dan Behringer tweeted:

"Just the way the oddsmakers drew it up: Iowa defeats UConn in NCAA women's Final Four game, 71-69, but fails to cover 2.5-point spread. Total of 162.5 never seriously threatened."

Dave Mason of BetOnline poked fun at the final outcome.

"Who you got? South Carolina or  Iowa & Refs."

Undefeated South Carolina opened as a -6.5 favorite versus Iowa in the final at BetOnline.

Stations Casino Sportsbook's Chuck Esposito noted just how special a game this was.

"Good outcome for us. We were clearly Huskies fans. Great handle. Set another record in women's college basketball wagering. Largest ticket count I can remember."

For record shattering Caitlin Clark, she is one win away from bringing her home state its first women’s basketball title in the final game of her college career.
