BetUS is an internationally licensed online sportsbook that has been serving the sports betting public worldwide for 25 years now.  The site is accessible from Arizona but is not regulated by the state.  Aside from being one of our favorite sportsbooks over the years, one can find other reasons for joining the site despite Arizona having 16 regulated sportsbooks.  Just because something is regulated doesn't always mean it is better.  BetUS is licensed in San Jose, Costa Rica and the Netherlands Antilles, two of the most prominent gaming licensing jurisdictions in the world.

Downside of Using BetUS in Arizona

  • Website is browser-based, no app.
  • While BetUS takes all types of credit cards and crypto, as well as bank wires, other banking methods unique to Arizona may not be readily available.
  • In the unlikely event you have a dispute with BetUS (you won't), state regulators will not get involved.
  • No betting on credit available unlike with local bookies who typically extend credit.
  • No retail sportsbook tie-ins in the state.

Sample Player Prop Bets Available at BetUS

For a college basketball team like the red hot Arizona Wildcats, you can bet on a starter's scoring Over/Under posted total.

Caleb Love, for example, was regularly listed with a total Over/Under of 19.5 points per game.  Unlike Daily Fantasy Sports sites such as PrizePicks, it is not necessary to select multiple players as part of a parlay.

Of course, BetUS does offer player props for professional sports teams.  These are also available with Arizona regulated sites. Devin Booker for the Suns routinely had an Over/Under scoring total of 28.5.

Taxes on Arizona Regulated Sportsbooks

All gambling winnings are taxed in Arizona with a federal tax applied at 24%.  Arizona also incorporates a marginal tax rate that can range anywhere from 2.59 - 4.50%. Larger winnings — typically $5,000 or more — will result in taxes withheld automatically.

Sites regulated by the state of Arizona report your winnings to the state and federal government. You will receive a copy in the mail.

Regulated Arizona Mobile Sportsbooks

*These were as of March 2024 and regulated books we find shut down regularly as they have a tough time making a profit due to the high margins and costs involved.

*Unibet is due to exit the Arizona market shortly.

*Bitcoin not accepted at any of the following sportsbooks.
