The FAU Owls were coming in at a -4.5 to -5 favorite versus South Florida on Saturday.  KenPom gives us a number of 3.91, suggesting a very slight overlay.

FAU vs. South Florida Betting Preview

FAU has lost just five games this season but have not been particularly profitable for sports bettors as their record Against The Spread sits at just 12-13.  Compare that with the Bulls, who are 18-5 Straight Up with a 15-5-3 record Against The Spread.

The last time these two teams faced one another was in 2019 where South Florida won at home 60-58 as a -7.5 favorite.  FAU is a much improved team since that time.

The Bulls have won 10 straight games and 11 straight home games.  The Owls, meanwhile, are vulnerable on the road and not among the best teams on defense, though they've won nine of their last ten games overall.

Johnell Davis scored 17 points, Alijah Martin and Brandon Weatherspoon each had 16 and No. 24 Florida Atlantic beat Temple 80-68 on Thursday night in a battle of the Owls.  Martin was coming in with a total scoring of Over/Under 12.5 for Sunday's game against South Florida. Prop bets were unavailable for Davis and Weatherspoon.

“Weatherspoon is an emotional leader,” Florida Atlantic coach Dusty May said. “It was awesome to see him getting his production back up and I thought his three steals were the separators.”

South Florida, meanwhile, took down Tulsa in its last game, 69-50.

Kobe Knox had 14 points and shot 4 for 10 (3 for 7 from 3-point range) and 3 of 4 from the free throw line for the Bulls (18-5, 11-1 American Athletic Conference). Kasean Pryor scored 12 points and added 11 rebounds and five assists. Selton Miguel had 10 points and was 4 of 7 shooting (2 for 3 from 3-point range).

Pryor has a scoring total set at 13.5 for Sunday's game while his rebound number is listed at 7.5. Miguel is listed with a score total of 12.5

In addition to game and player prop bets, sportsbooks will be offering plenty of parlays for this game.
