The thought of the LA Rams and Cleveland Browns meeting in this year's Super Bowl is cringe worthy for some books.  BetOnline's Dave Mason revealed that more future bets to win the 2024 Super Bowl were placed on the Rams than any other team, followed by the Cleveland Browns.  Tampa Bay (not gonna happen) would be a bookie's dream, Houston as well.

The Browns take on Houston as a -2 to -2.5 road favorite.  This one touched the 3 and quickly came off that number.  We actually detect a bit of an overlay here with our number coming in at 0.89 Cleveland.

Overlays in the 2/2.5/3 range tend to perform well for favorites in the NFL.  This has not been true in college football where the dog has covered 73% of the time with our model.

Action was mostly balanced early on here.

Books will be gaga over Houston winning here outright as a Texans Super Bowl victory would be huge.

The Rams were seeing better than 75% in their game at Detroit.  And this line remained on the 3, even moving to 3.5.  Not much love for Detroit in this game.  You better believe the books will be rooting hard for the Lions here.

There is an underlay as our number comes in at 5.  Surprisingly, there is not much of an edge when it comes to underlays in the 3/3.5 range in either the NFL or college football employing our model.  We do see the potential for an opinion on Detroit, however.
