Sports Handicapping Central: FAU vs. Rice Betting Preview

Sports handicapper Al Grant has been on fire with his college football picks at the G911 Sports Hub.  Among his Saturday plays Rice as they take on FAU at home.  Rice is the -3 favorite in this one.

FAU Owls vs. Rice Owls

It's the Battle of the Owls but Grant sees the home Nocturnality the most awake this Saturday afternoon.

Al is a Sports Hub expert that routinely finds winners. He excels across all sports, but Al is a hockey genius. His value plays on underdogs and puck lines are sure to boost your bankroll. Watch for his plays, he picks his sports very carefully.

We also like Rice's chances based on our own system.  There is a definite underlay with the -3 on Rice after opening at the more accurate -5.  Underlays above 3, hitting the 3.5 without going below this number tend to perform well for the favorites, more so in college football than in the NFL.  There is still a bit of an edge.

Winners and Whiners are also loving Rice here and they explain why.

"They have played well offensively at home, scoring more than 30 points in two of their last three home games."

Where Rice lacks is their ability to run the ball.  They do pass the ball well, however.

"They are facing a Florida Atlantic team that has been unable to stop the pass and gave up over 300 passing yards per game in their last three games, so expect them to play well offensively in this game. Florida Atlantic has lost four of its last five games."

And there is this: "They (FAU) have struggled offensively, scoring less than 10 points in two of their last three games. They don’t run the ball well, but they’ve done a better job throwing it.

"Rice has done a good job defending the pass and held their last three opponents under 200 passing yards per game."
