Four NBA Games Caught Our Attention Wednesday Night

Looking over Wednesday night's slate of games we definitely see some line discrepancies early.  We'll try to decipher what this might mean below.

Milwaukee Bucks @ Toronto Raptors - This one is looking all the more attractive as the betting public does love Milwaukee early.  The books are mostly moving between the -4.5 and -5 for Milwaukee.

What? No love for the home team Raptors?  Are they really THAT bad?

They are 5-5 Straight Up and 5-5 Against The Spread coming into this one.

But check out the Bucks.  6-4 Straight Up is certainly a decent enough start but Milwaukee is only 1-8-1 Against The Spread coming into this one.

We don't see tonight as a game where there is a correction with the ATS record.  That's because our number comes in at 0.55 Milwaukee.  This suggests a 4 to 5 point overlay.

Toronto won the last two in the series and 4-0 Against The Spread using this current number.  They are 7-3 against Milwaukee over the last ten.

Do take the Raptors here

Orlando Magic @ Chicago Bulls - Much of the early action appears to be on Orlando as the now +1.5 road dog after opening at +2.5 to +3 overnight.  We noticed a bit more of an overlay when this one opened but the number has come down to reflect more what it should be as we get Chicago 1.79.

Orlando is 7-2 ATS.  They’ve won three of the last five in the series.  They are playing Chicago again in two days.

Minnesota T-Wolves @ Phoenix Suns - The 8-2 T'Wolves for the second time in two days beat the Warriors at home.  They've won the last three of their West Coast trip games and they are on a 7-game win streak.

The line was now Phoenix -5.5 and is off by 5.5 points as we have the wrong team favored by a mere 0.19.

Sure Minnesota will likely be a little worn out and the Suns are 8-2 against them.  We get that and we realize Minnesota may not have enough gas in the tank.  Our model makes this one impossible to pass up.

Cleveland Cavs @ Portland Trailblazers - The Trailblazers are the walking wounded right now. They played Utah hard last night on the road and, like Minnesota, may not have enough left in the tank for this evening.  Unlike Minnesota, this Trailblazers team is also too thin coming into this game.  Whether they lose at home by +10.5 is a little hard to fathom.

The number we get is 3.71 but that doesn't factor in the injuries so there is still plenty of wiggle room with a 7-point overlay.

We're going with Portland here
