Chiefs bettors were not happy with KC quarterback Patrick Mahomes decision to run the ball out of bounds instead of scoring a touchdown upon making the first down, then running the clock down to end the game.

The Chiefs were up three points.  A touchdown would have all but ensured that KC covered the 8 to 8.5 spread.

Trailing by as much as 17 points, New York was able to tie the game at 20 heading into the fourth quarter. The Chiefs were able to take back the lead with a made field goal following a crucial turnover from Jets QB Zach Wilson.

Chiefs star QB Patrick Mahomes did not have his best game — throwing for just 200 yards and one touchdown to two interceptions.

The sportsbooks needed a Jets cover badly following a brutal early slate of games.

73% of the cash (nearly $3 million) was on KC.

Despite all the money flowing in on Kansas City, Bookmaker dropped the number from 8 to 7.5 Sunday suggesting a strong opinion on the Jets.  Recreational book Bovada brought the number down from -9.5 to -8.5.

The backing on the Jets was just over $1 million on the spread.
