West Virginia Faces Off Against Maryland as -2.5 Favorite

West Virginia state-regulated apps do not necessarily meet the standards of Gambling911.com when compared to other states.  Everything from spotty service in some portions of the state to less competitive bonus options.  They have some benefits to be sure, but our friends at BetUS offer a variety of wagering opportunities on this year's NCAA Men's College Basketball Tournament (March Madness) from those living in or visiting the state. Scroll down below to compare the benefits of betting with in-state apps versus BetUS (now in their 29th year).

Mountaineers Fail to Advance in 2023 NCAA Men's Tournament

West Virginia comes into their game against Maryland as a -2.5 favorite.   This game was expected to attract plenty of betting due to the state vs. state proximity rivalry.   These two teams hadn't faced one another since 2015.

West Virginia actually had the less impressive record of the two teams.  They were 19-14 straight up and a game above the .500 mark ATS.

West Virginia also ranked as the second biggest liability at most books for the first round of NCAA Tournament games both on the moneyline and Against The Spread.

In the end, the Mountaineers lost 67-65 and failed to advance.  This was depsite Kedrian Johnson having a career-high 27 points.

BetUS offers some great options that are comparible, if not better, to those of the state-regulated apps.  "Regulated" should be placed in quotes as there have been countless documented issues with these apps in recent months - everything from crashing to account compromises - that have not been adequately addressed.
