Saints vs. Colts Super Bowl Line

The Saints vs. Colts Super Bowl line had moved back up to Indianapolis -5 by Friday night after dipping down to -4 ½ (the low thus far).  Nearly 90 percent of online sportsbooks including BetUS.com were listing the -5 line Friday evening.

66 percent of the backing was now on the Colts, down a single percentage mark from earlier in the day.

Some of the vigorous line movement in recent days can be attributed to an uncertainty over Indianapolis' Dwight Freeney not being at 100 percent.

Despite Dwight Freeney is waiting to play on Super Bowl 44 after suffered torn ligament in his right ankle, the smartest thing to do right now is to place your bet like if he is not going to be there, advises Al Simmons of BetUS.com.

Simmons writes that Freeney is the best player on either of the Super Bowl teams, including Darren Sharper.

"Can you imagine Robert Mathis pressuring the Drew Brees alone, without the Freeney the double coverage will be focus on him and the passing game becomes easier for Brees."

Weather will not be a factor for Sunday's Super Bowl game in Miami unlike two years previous when it poured the entire game.

The latest forecast at game time calls for clear skies and temperatures in the low 60's.
