We are learning late Wednesday evening that DraftKings has ceased its NFL Early Win, Up 10 Promotion promotional offer after paying out an insane $75 million in just the first two weeks of the new season.

Avery Yang of the Action Network reports that an up seven, early win promo will still be offered for the Thursday Night Football between the Steelers and Browns.

The promo allowed bettors to cash in on their moneyline wagers if the team they bet on was winning by seven or 10 points at any time during the course of the game.

The moneyline also cashed out if the team you bet won but failed to go up seven or 10 points.

The U.S. regulated sportsbooks have especially been hit hard through bonus offers in states with steep tax rates, including New York and Pennsylvania. The later has a tax imposed on operators of 35% while New York amounts to over 50%.

FC Cincinnati and Bengals Obtain Sports Betting License in Ohio

On Wednesday, the Ohio Casino Control Commission granted sports betting licenses to the Cincinnati Bengals and FC Cincinnati.

The Bengals, who are off to a rough start this season after making it to last year's Super Bowl, have teamed up with UK-based BetFred.

FC Cincinnati is partnering with SuperBook Sports, which is a well-established Vegas book since 1993 led by legendary oddsmaker Jay Kornegay.  They will have an app and retail sportsbook.

"I want to thank the Casino Control Commission and Commission staff who have done an incredible amount of work this year to position Ohio to launch sports betting on Jan. 1, 2023," Jeff Berding, co-CEO of FC Cincinnati, said in a statement. "We are very excited to partner with SuperBook Sports to provide the best sports wagering experience with betting lines on all major sporting events around the world."

Ohio sports betting is set to go live some time in January.
