NC State gets tested immediately versus a decent East Carolina team in Week 1.  They will be facing the Pirates on the road.  Granted East Carolina is favored to win no more than 6 regular season games.

NC State Wolfpack vs. East Carolina Pirates (September 3)

NC State is an 11-point favorite in this game. The Wolfpack (23) have a power rating of 80.67.  East Carolina (87) has a rating of 66.55. Tack on 2 points for the home field advantage we are looking at a line that should be -12. This line has moved from -9.5 to -11.5, without touching the -12.  This makes NC State especially enticing here. 75% of the spread action was on the Wolfpack.

The two teams met twice last season season in Greenville and Raleigh, with NC State sweeping the season series.

NC State should have a good explosive offense, but their defense may be even better with their linebacking corps likely among the best in the nation.

East Carolina's offense should be decent with an upgrade to the receiving corps thanks to the trasnfer portal but their pass protection is going to have a tough time versus the Wolfpack Saturday.  THat seems almost inevitable.

Expect an NC State 12-point or greater win here.

Included below are Offensive and Defensive Rookie of the Year odds, will the Bills trade the first pick of the second round, who are the first picks at linebacker and running back.

Aiyuk-Deebo Trade Odds and ROY Shift

Xavier Worthy = Tyreek Hill 2.0?  Perhaps, and if that comes to fruition at any point in the future, the Bills only have themselves to blame.

J.J. McCarthy Drafted Number 3 Odds to Patriots

To be clear, the Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy is pretty certain to land in Minnesota.  But what if the New England Patriots shock us and pick McCarthy at Number 3 before the Vikings get their opportunity at No. 5?
