The operator of an illegal poker den in Plymouth, Connecticut was pulling in up to $2,000 a night on games through social media advertisements, according to an arrest warrant released Wednesday.

Named in the warrant was one David B. Stern, 31, of Thomaston.  He was known by the name "The Club Hou$e" and would regularly promote the games through the Facebook group, CT Valley Poker Players.  Recent posts from "The Club Hou$e" and any mention of the arrest do not appear on the group wall.

The business was run from a curtained store front.

Stern is charged with illegal gambling, possession of a gambling device and gambling premises as a nuisance. He was released without having to post bail and is scheduled to appear Sept. 12 in state Superior Court in New Britain, police said.
