LAS VEGAS, Nev. - (Gambling911.com) - David Oancea, known to his social media followers as Vegas Dave, was found in contempt of court once again after the social media influencer failed to show up for court proceedings in a protracted civil case in which he owes debtors tens of millions of dollars.
District Judge Joe Hardy ordered the warrant be prepared and attached with it a $1 million bail setting. It is the second warrant the judge has issued for Oancea’s arrest in the case.
The flashy sports betting influencer — known for his Birkin bag collections and mansions - was hit with a $30.2 million judgment in 2025 after litigation involving Cabo Platinum. The underlying dispute included allegations that Oancea interfered with or canceled confirmed vacation-rental bookings involving his properties and made damaging statements about the company. Oancea appealed the judgment.
The situation subsequently became a fight over collecting the judgment and Oancea's compliance with court orders. He failed to appear in court in mid-August and is now considered a fugitive of the law.
Oancea reportedly posted video of himself departing on a private jet for Bora Bora prior to his scheduled court appearance.
The social media caption allegedly read "“Wheels up #borabora.”
