2022 NHL Draft: Wright Heavy Favorite for Top Pick

Canadiens GM Kent Hughes met with Wright over dinner to get better acquainted.

“Dinner gives more time to chat,” Hughes said. “It gave us a chance to see what kind of person he is. I was very impressed. He is a very mature and intelligent person.”

Hughes was also slated to meet with the New Jersey Devils.
