What is the Early Line on the Tennessee Vols vs. Florida Gators Week 4 Game

Gambling911.com has reviewed each College Football team's newly adjusted ratings and determined Sunday morning that the line on the Vols-Gators Week 4 game should be Florida -14. The number officially opened at -16.5 and actually moved up a half point. Over the course of the week, the number has moved as far up as -20 and has trended downward from there to -18.5.  Assuming an outright win, Florida is in danger of going 1-3 Against The Spread without a cover here despite going 3-1 on the season Straight Up.

Both teams come into this one 2-1 Straight Up, but Florida actually looks like a better team following their loss against top-ranked Alabama.  That's because they nearly upset the Crimson Tide and walked away losing by a mere two points.

The Gators covered their first game in Week 3 versus the Crimson Tide.

The Gators have fallen to 0-5 against No. 1-ranked teams at Florida Field following this loss.

It was an easy cover for Florida, with oddsmakers listing them as the 14 ½-point underdog and they had a very real chance to tie the game in the closing minutes despite playing without dynamic backup quarterback Anthony Richardson.

Coach Dan Mullen held Richardson out as a precaution.  He suffered a strained right hamstring and Mullen said doctors warned Richardson “could definitely make it worse” by playing.

Emory Jones was used exclusively in lieu of a two-QB rotation.

“I thought Emory really kind of stepped up his game,” Mullen said.

Jones completed 17 of 27 passes for 181 yards, with an interception. He was booed at times, partly because of the slow start and surely because of the home crowd’s disappointment in not seeing Richardson.

Tennessee, meanwhile, Hendon Hooker threw for 199 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another, and the Volunteer defense came up with four interceptions in a 56-0 rout of the Golden Eagles (0-3).

“The level of competition steps up next week,” Tennessee coach Josh Heupel said. “Our players are excited about that. I’ll transition to the following week pretty quick. I hope our players can do that.”
