Bloomberg's Odds Worsen Following Debate

The scene in Las Vegas produced one of the wildest Democratic debates to date, and it prompted the oddsmakers in Sin City to adjust their nominee projections.

As of yesterday morning, Michael Bloomberg had roughly 2-1 odds to win the Democratic nominee, according to the online bookmaker SportsBetting.ag. Following the poor debate showing, Bloomberg is now listed at 4-1.

Bernie Sanders had 1-1 odds going into the debate, but he is now the odds-on favorite with 5-7 odds, which implies a 58.3 percent probability. This is the first time any candidate has had "minus" odds.

Elizabeth Warren, who was the Democratic odds favorite many times over the course of the last six months, had fallen all the way to 33-1 earlier this week. She remains a longshot (25-1) but jumped ahead of Amy Klobuchar (33-1).

Sanders is an overwhelming favorite to win the Nevada caucus. He is also the favorite for the South Carolina and Texas primaries, according to the odds above.

Donald Trump is still the favorite to be re-elected while Sanders' presidential odds dropped from 7-2 to 3-1 and Bloomberg's jumped from 7-1 to 9-1.
