The Houston Texans come into this game with a record of 9-5, and they just got a monster win in week 15. Houston beat the Tennessee Titans on Sunday to give them a great chance of winning the division. A victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Saturday will give them their fourth title in five seasons. Tampa Bay is one of the hottest teams in the NFL this season, and they have won four straight games. The Buccaneers are still just 7-7 on the season, but they are a force to be reckoned with. Houston is a slim -1.0 point favorite over Tampa Bay on Saturday.

Buccaneers Defense Will Be Tested

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers might be riding a four game winning streak, but they still really struggle on the defensive side of the ball. Tampa Bay has allowed more than 29.0 points per game this season, and that is a scary proposition against the Houston Texans. The Buccaneers do have one of the most disruptive defensive players in the NFL in Shaq Barrett. Barrett leads the NFL with 16.5 sacks so far this season, and is closing in on the 20-sack mark which doesn’t happen very often.

Quarterback Jameis Winston has had an interesting start to his NFL career, but he has been impressive this season. Winston has thrown for over 4,100 yards in 2019 and has thrown 27 touchdown passes. Wide receiver Chris Godwin has over 1,200 receiving yards, and the Bucs are third in the NFL in scoring. Tampa Bay will try to turn this game into a shootout.

Watson Carrying Texans Explosive Offense

The Houston Texans might not have the same numbers as the Buccaneers on the offensive side of the ball, but they can score points in a hurry. Houston is averaging more than 24 points per game, and their passing attack can put up points in a hurry. Quarterback Deshaun Watson has thrown 24 touchdown passes this season, and he can also make some plays with his legs. Houston should have fun attacking a bad Buccaneers defense in this game.

Houston has been struggling on the defensive side of the ball of late, and that could spell trouble against the Bucs. The Texans are still giving up just 23 points per game this season, but they have suffered a ton of key injuries on that side of the ball. Houston will need to find a way to get some pressure on Winston if they are going to win this game.

Texans Pick Up Important Road Win

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers might not look like a great team on paper, but they can do some things that really give opponents some trouble. Tampa Bay can score points in a hurry, and they will not be an easy team to beat at home. Houston is trying to wrap up the AFC South Division for the second straight season, and they can’t afford a loss in this game. The Texans are led by Deshaun Watson, and he is going to make enough plays to give his team a win in this game. Bet the Houston Texans -1.0 over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in this game.  Take the Texans at our favorite pay per head location RealBookies.
