The public is definitely winning big to start the new NFL season, a rarity when compared to recent years.

It didn't help that some of the favorites won decisively, including the 49ers, Patriots, Bills, Cowboys, Chiefs and Rams.

There were a few surprises, including the aforementioned Seahawks victory against Pittsburgh.  The Colts and Lions each had surprise wins.
