Dolphins Announce Fitzpatrick as Starting QB

Miami Dolphins coach Brian Flores named 36-year-old Ryan Fitzpatrick the starting quarterback when Miami opens the season Sept. 8 against the Baltimore Ravens. He led the quarterback competition all offseason over second-year signal-caller Josh Rosen

"After a thorough evaluation of OTAs, training camp, games, practice, we felt this was the best move for the team going into the season," Flores said Thursday. "Ryan has done a really good job from a leadership standpoint, from an execution standpoint, and we feel like it's the best move for the team."

The Dolphins are slightly favored to win OVER 4.5 regular season games.
