The 34-year-old Las Vegas resident from Naperville, Illinois entered the Final Jeopardy with just $5400 separating him from challenger Nate Scheffey, a technology consultant from New York.

Both men got the correct answer in the Final with the theme "Jazz".

“In one account, this song began as directions written out for composer Billy Strayhorn to Duke Ellington’s home in Harlem.”

Holzhauer, a professional sports bettor who lives in Las Vegas, put down $20,908 of his $31,200 pot, earning a total of $52,108 with the correct answer, “What is ‘Take the A Train’?”.

Holzhauer advances and is a couple thousand dollars away from the $2 million mark.

Tune in Thursday.
