2009 World Series Odds

The Major League Baseball playoffs start in two weeks so now would be a good time to pick the World Series winner at betED.com.  The 2009 World Series odds continue to shorten, especially where the New York Yankees are concerned.  Still, they do pay slightly better than the risk.  For example, a $100 bet would pay out $150 at betED.com

The Pinstripes have the best record in baseball (95-55) and are in first place in the AL East, five games ahead of their perennial rival, the Boston Red Sox.

The Red Sox are the next favorite in World Series Odds at betED.com - but they're way back at +565. Boston sits atop the American League Wild Card standings, eight games ahead of the Texas Rangers.

The Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angeles Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals are all at +605 to win the 2009 World Series.

The Phillies are 87-61 and are in first place in the NL East, eight games up on the Florida Marlins. Philadelphia's been smoking lately, going 8-2 in their past 10.

The Dodgers are 90-60 and have a five game lead atop the NL West, while the Cardinals are leading the NL Central by 10 games over the Chicago Cubs.

Baseball bettors can also wager on which team will win the AL and NL championships, with the Yankees -140 favorites to win the AL and the Dodgers and Cardinals both at +205 to win the NL.

You can also bet on which league will produce the World Series-winning team, with the AL at -190 and the NL at +140.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.

Tanner Bibee Player Prop Bets: Hits Allowed

Bibee was promoted to the major leagues at the start of last season and made a lot of noise in doing so.  In his debut versus the Colorado Rockies, Bibee became the first Cleveland pitcher ever to record at least five consecutive strikeouts in a Major League debut.
