WILL MINNESOTA WELCOME SPORTS BETTING IN THE NEAR FUTURE?

In April 2018, a draft sports betting bill was circulated in the Minnesota legislature. Rep. Pat Garofalo was reportedly the strongest supporter of the bill, which would have authorized sports wagering and created an overseeing commission. The draft bill included a clause to enable mobile betting, too. The Minnesota legislature adjourned in May without any action on the bill.

WHO WILL THOSE IN MINNESOTA BE ROOTING FOR THIS PLAYOFFS SEASON

The Vikings were entering Week 17 with a shot to make it into the Playoffs.

They were in a good position to do just that.  The Vikings either had to win in Week 17 against a Bears team who still had something to play for or the Eagles have to lose.

Chicago, with a win and a Rams loss, will earn the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the postseason should they defeat the Vikings in Week 17.

The Eagles, meanwhile, play a banged up Redskins team that has nothing more to play for.

This one was by no means a sealed deal.
