Maroon 5 has been announced as the performing act for the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show and already oddsmakers across North America and elsewhere are in the process of coming up with some nifty customized prop bets, Dave Mason of BetOnline among them. If demand is high enough, BOL could offer Super Bowl 53 prop bets long before the Playoffs.
In 2016, BetOnline made headlines with their infamous Beyonce Cleavage prop, which reeled in thousands of wagers at the time, according to Mason.
Of course, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine does not have cleavage. He does occasionally remove his shirt during performances. Mason suggests to Gambling911.com there could be bets on such things as the color of Levine's shirt and/or pants when he arrrives on stage. This bet would likely include "shirtless" as an option.
The outfit odds this past Super Bowl with Justin Timberlake tended to be more detailed with everything from "Will He Wear Sneakers" to "Will He Wear a Hat" and "Will He Be Sporting a Beard".
The most popular of the Super Bowl Halftime Show props is the first song to be performed. No word yet on which of Maroon 5's songs will be listed as the favorite. Moves Like Jagger is likely to have short odds.
And now onto the politics: Fitting, as BOL made headlines just a few weeks ago with news that U.S. President Donald Trump had the shortest odds yet of being re-elected.
Levine was once quoted as saying "I hate this country" during an episode of "The Voice", a show he appears on as a judge.
