Poker pro Joe Stiers (pictured) is suing the World Series of Poker after being removed from Day 3 of the Main Event last year. At the time, Stiers was sitting on a significant stack of chips.
WSOP reporters posted:
"When players returned from dinner break, one player's seat was empty, and the roughly 630,000 in chips he previously had in front of him were gone, as well. It turns out that this player had been banned from all Caesars properties and thus barred from entering World Series of Poker tournaments."

In the suit, Stiers claims “I was grabbed, handcuffed, and quickly moved to a private room."
PokerTube reports that the poker player's previous blackjack counting and casino troubles are well documented throughout the years.
Potential damages he is seeking can be gathered from statements in the complaint.
“Caesars/WSOP had always accepted my money and retained my money when I was losing poker tournaments, which totaled to over $200,000, but only enforced this trespass eviction during a tournament when I was in a position to win up to $8 million and had around $150,000 in current chip equity”.
“I can barely explain the tremendous amount of pain defendants caused me when I realized years of my hard work and dedication were for nothing”.
