Will I Be Able to Bet College Football Games Online From Massachusetts?
While the U.S. Supreme Court has now made sports betting legal in the United States, Massachusetts residents will not be able to bet the games in any of the state's casinos for the upcoming 2018 College Football season. Do not dispair as a few dozen of internationally licensed sportsbooks will accept wagers on the upcoming NFL and College Football season. Likewise, if you are a bookie or agent, PricePerPlayer.com offers the very best in sportsbook software.
WILL MASSACHUSETTS WELCOME SPORTS BETTING IN THE NEAR FUTURE?
They could, but not for this College Football season, and probably not for the upcoming College Basketball season either, which tends to attract ore interest in this part of the country.
Rep. Joseph Wagner, chairman of the Committee on Economic Development and Emerging Technologies, told WGBY-TV's "Connecting Point" that he and House Speaker Robert DeLeo have had "a number of conversations" about sports betting following the U.S. Supreme Court decision back in May.
DeLeo has already said that it would be "difficult" to see the House taking action on sports betting before formal sessions end July 31.
"The approach here is to move this to the front burner but to not move so quickly that we get it wrong," Wagner, a Chicopee Democrat, said. He added, "It won't be taken up perhaps for formal action in this [session] but the work will begin immediately. The work has already begun."
