Three Dallas SWAT officers accused of gambling promotion turned themselves in Thursday.  A fourth officer has a warrant out for his arrest.

A criminal investigation into Senior Cpl. Edrick Smith resulted in the most recent charges.  Smith was charged back in December with illegal gambling and bribery.  He faces new charges of money laundering.

Senior Cpls. Edward Van Meter and Rogers Williams and Sgt. Shannon Browning turned themselves in to Seagoville police around noon Thursday, Capt. Steve Davis said. All posted bond and were released. Browning was believed to have been Smith accomplice.

Smith was accused of bribing a sergeant with a gift card to keep an illegal gambling habit under wraps.

From DallasNews.com:

Smith asked the sergeant for a heads-up — specifically, to send him a "Go Cowboys" text — if police were planning to raid the illegal gambling business that he frequented.

He didn't know that the sergeant was recording their conversations to help investigators build a case against him.

Sgt. Latasha Moore was arrested earlier this month on a charge of gambling promotion and is accused of participating in a gambling operation at a convenience store.

Each were placed on administrative leave.
