Lawmakers adjourn for the year by week's end. New York State residents will still rely heavily on Daily Fantasy Sports sites, which are regulated by the state, and internationally licensed online sportsbooks.

Bronx Democrat Carl Heastie said Thursday that lawmakers in his chamber have raised "significant issues" about legislation that would allow bets at casinos and on mobile devices.  Further discussion would not take place until the earlist January of next year.
