The New Jersey Assembly voted 73-0 to allow sports betting in the state with a Senate vote up next.

The state of New Jersey will be allowing each of its casinos to have up to three online sportsbook websites should they choose to have more than one, according to John Brennan of the Bergen Record.

The NJ Assembly voted Thursday on whether to allow sports betting after that state brought a suit to the Supreme Court resulting in a ruling to abolish previous prohibition that had been in place for nearly three decades.  The Assembly was widely expected to approve amendments that would be required prior to allowing betting at New Jersey casinos and race tracks.  It was not immediately clear as to whether the Governor would sign off on said amendments if passed.

A snag in the voting equipment led to an extended delay in the vote count.

It was also revealed during the session that the Golden Nugget, which is owned by Tilman Fertitta would not be permitted to accept bets on the NBA.  Fertitta is also the owner of the NBA franchise Houston Rockets.  The property will be able to take bets on most other sports.
