The Red Sox are a fairly big exposure in Major League Baseball hosting the Oakland A's Wednesday evening.

The price was hefty, opening at -250 in favor of Boston and moving up to -260 since.

88% of the money line action was on the Red Sox even though Oakland has beaten them in the last four meetings. The Athletics though are just 19-44 in the last 63 meetings in Boston.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Athletics RH Trevor Cahill (1-1, 2.25 ERA) vs. Red Sox LH Chris Sale (3-1, 2.17)

Cahill went on the disabled list with an elbow impingement last week, just days after he struck out 12 in six scoreless innings against Baltimore on May 5.   He has a 6.35 ERA in five career starts against the Red Sox and has been pounded for 20 runs in 21 1/3 innings at Fenway Park.

Sale is the league leader in strikeouts thus far.  He also reached double-digits in seven strong innings at Oakland on April 21 but would up on the wrong end of a 3-0 final.
