The Pittsburgh Pirates were seeing 70% of the action on the money line facing off against a San Franicsco team that is hovering around the .500 mark.

Because the line opened at -145 most books and has dipped to -135, it will be important here to pay close mind to San Francisco.

PITCHING MATCHUP: Giants RH Jeff Samardzija (1-2, 6.62 ERA) vs. Pirates RH Chad Kuhl (4-2, 4.12)

Samardzija has had command issues and gave up two homers in his last start in a loss.  He is 6-4 with a 2.80 ERA in 25 games (14 starts) against the Pirates, including two wins last year.

Kuhl has recorded quality starts in three of his last four outings, and he’s coming off his best showing of the season.  He made his first start against the Giants last season and allowed one run and two hits over six innings in a no-decision.

Why wouldn't this line be longer?

Chris Paddack Player Prop Bets

Paddack recorded 10 strikeouts over seven shutout innings on Monday in a win over the White Sox. Prior to that start, Paddack was obliterated by the Orioles, allowing nine runs on 12 hits in 5 1/3 innings.

Zach Eflin Player Prop Bets

Zach Eflin has great value in fantasy leagues for the April 26 game against the lowly Chicago White Sox.  Betting on Eflin and the Tampa Bay Rays might make sense if not for the -210 price tag.

Trevor Williams Player Prop Bets

The Nats Trevor Williams held the Astros to one run with four strikeouts across six innings in a no-decision on Saturday.  And the betting public was eating him up at a near 80% clip.
