Coingeek.com founder Calvin Ayre and ardent proponent of bitcoin cash appears to be no fan of bitcoin venture capitalist Jimmy Song but did tweet out Friday:

moron's getting closer to truth...BCH is not an altcoin though...it is Bitcoin. Segwit Coin BTC is the one that forked to an altcoin when it shut Op-codes and forked to segwit. The rest is pretty good...even Jimmy Song is making sense for once

Ayre referenced an article appearing on Forbes.com,  "Bitcoin Cash Approaches $1,000 Ahead Of Hard Fork"

In that piece, Song is quoted as saying that the anticipated network upgrade will add or reactivate several operation codes.

"This means simplified smart contracts will be possible on the bitcoin cash blockchain," he stated.

"This particular bit of news is what is driving market excitement around bitcoin cash."

As traders look toward this upcoming hard fork, Bitcoin Cash is benefiting from rising "interest and volumes," stated Oliver Isaacs, blockchain investor, in an interview with Forbes.

Song is a Venture Capitalist at Blockchain Capital LLC.
