William Hill, the British bookmaking business that operates a number of Las Vegas-based sportsbooks, says it took a handful of small bets on Loyola-Chicago to win the 2018 NCAA Men's College Basketball Championship with the potential to yield massive jackpots.

Bets would pay out $45,000 at William Hill specifically should the Ramblers prevail in the tournament final.

From Forbes.com:

William Hill US, which operates 108 sports books in Nevada, took 32 pre-tournament bets on Loyola to win it all, at 300-1 odds. The biggest bet was $150, which would potentially net $45,000 should the Ramblers beat Michigan in Saturday’s Final Four and the Villanova-Kansas winner in Monday’s final. The second-biggest pre-tournament Ramblers bet of $100 could net the winner $30,000.

Loyola Chicago is listed at 8/1 odds of winning the Championship currently.  Entering the tournament, the payout would have been in excess of $250,000 for every $100 bet to do so.  William Hill is getting off quite easy should they go on to win.
