The 2018 Oscars are just days away and this year's awards ceremony is being billed as one of the most unpredictable on record. This translates into much better value for gamblers than in years past.

Anthony Cousins of the Kindred Group sat down with SBC News recently, explaining how the "Best Picture" nomination in particular is no longer "a given".
"Gone are the days of “one horse races” in the Best Picture category, a big reason for this is the opening up of the Best Picture to more than just 5 nominations since 2009.
"This results in a greater chance of “splitting the vote” and votes cast across more contenders resulting in smaller majorities that can be overcome.
"The last few years have seen upsets of sorts but they were still films strongly in contention with both Spotlight and Moonlight firm second favourites.
"The reality is that it’s not so hard to predict which of the 9 will win, but who do you want to back in a two horse race?"
This year, The Color of Water and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri are in a dead heat jockeying for the favorite position for "Best Feature Film".
Of course we still have our "locks", Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour) among them for "Best Actor" at -2000.
