Here were your 2009 World Series of Poker leaders heading into Saturday evening

Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier - Led the pack with 1,700,000 chips.  Grospellier is a French Poker player via South Korea. Grospellier enjoyed a massive amount of popularity in South Korea. Video gaming is a big, big deal in South Korea, and "ElkY" was one of its biggest stars, according to Poker King.  His total career tournament winnings exceed $5.7 million and this does not include what he has won online.  Grospellier would be a real hit for viewers if he were to make it to the Final Table of Nine in the 2009 World Series of Poker. 

Ludovic Lacay - 1,400,000 chips.  He has nearly $600,000 in live poker tournament winnings to date. 

Benjamin Jensen - 1,400,000 chips.

James Akenhead - 1,200,000 chips.  Akenhead has nearly $700,000 in live tournament winnings lifetime.  He comes to us from Great Britain.  He placed 2nd last year in Event #2 - WSOP No Limit Hold'em, winning $520,219. 

Theo Tran - 1,050,000 chips.  Tran is a pretty well known player who has won over $1.7 million in career live tournament play.  His biggest money win was a 4th place finish at last year's World Series of Poker Event #2 - WSOP No Limit Hold'em where Tran walked away with $327,148.

Billy Kopp - 1,040,000 chips.   He's known as Patrolman35 online and has won over $200,000 in career live tournaments. 

Blair Hinkle - 1,300,000 chips.   Not necessarily a big name in the poker community but he still has close to $1 million in career live tournaments.  He cashed in first place at last year's World Series of Poker Event #23 - WSOP No Limit Hold'em, taking home half a million. 

Miika Puumalainen - 1,000,000 chips.

Jordan Morgan - 997,000 chips.  Has won over a million in lifetime tournaments. 

Matt Affleck - 960,000 chips.
