What the Bookies Are Saying: Bills vs. Chiefs

Resident bookmaking expert Tony Caliente discusses Sunday’s NFL game between the Bills and Chiefs.

Here we see a line of Kansas Chiefs -10 at home and that immediately seems a bit high to us here.

First off, Tyrod Taylor will start this Sunday. Let’s see, Taylor was benched in place of a rookie who through five interception last week.  Taylor has the highest passer rating, completion percentage, adjusted yards per attempt, and the lowest interception percentage in Bills franchise history.  This move left many mystified.

The Chiefs are a 10-point favorite despite losing four of their last five after enjoying the best start of any team in 2017.

Kansas City was still ranked number 6 in the NFL Power Ratings.  Buffalo is two rankings ahead of the New York Giants.

The line should only be -9.5 in favor of Kansas City, which is where most books opened it but have since moved to -10 (a few were holding at -9.5). At that number, Buffalo was seeing 65% of the action.

I believe KC does cover this spread though it’s easy to see this being a PUSH at 10
