Resident bookmaking expert Tony Caliente discusses Saturday’s Week 11 College Football betting action between the Georgia Bulldogs and Auburn Tigers.
The College Football Power Ratings tell us UGA should be a -2 favorite here, and tops a -2.5. We have that line set right at that point.
There is exposure here with Georgia seeing 70% of the betting action and there is no way anyone crosses that -3 threshold in an effort to get more action on Auburn.
Some books, including Wynn in Las Vegas, dared to open at Bulldogs -3 but haven’t treaded there since Tuesday.
The sharp books are tempting action on Georgia but I certainly wouldn’t as the Bulldogs have enjoyed decisive victories over Auburn during the last three seasons. UGA is playing its best football in years.
Knowing that stat, the money line scares me the most and bettors will be getting this one at a good price for Georgia (a $14 bet pays out $10)
There are enough folks out there who like Auburn to win outright that the money line is only being skewed 60/40 in Georgia’s favor.
