Clemson Tigers Bookie Spotlight: What Went Wrong in Week 4?

The Clemson Tigers beat Boston College in Week 4 but were a -33.5 favorite against the Eagles.  That’s around how many points they scored (34) while Boston College did walk away with 7 points.  Alas, Clemson failed to cover.  They are now 3-1 Against The Spread and undefeated outright.  The Tigers are ranked number 2 in the nation.

Scarier still for bettors backing Clemson, the Tigers and Eagles were tied at 7-7 in the 4th quarter.  The ultimate winners exploded to score 27 points in that final quarter.

ESPN.com writes: Rookie QB Kelly Bryant's passing game finally exhibited some flaws as he threw two interceptions and no touchdowns, but he helped compensate for it with two rushing touchdowns and 106 rushing yards.

"We're battle-tested, and we had our nose bloodied today," coach Dabo Swinney said, "but at the end of the day, we came away with the win. This game was a challenge, but it's going to make us better."

With the running game compensating in a very big way, bookies need to be concerned as the season progresses.

Clemson was at 8/1 odds of winning the College Football Championship game and those odds might not shift much following the Tigers lackluster first three quarters.
