NFL Defensive Player Of The Year: Odds and Predictions For Online Bookies

One of the more interesting future prop bets for this NFL Season is on the NFL Defensive Player of the Year.

If pay per head agents haven’t received action on the NFL Defensive Player of the Year wager yet, they should soon.

NFL Defensive Player of the Year Favorites

J.J. Watt (HOU)                      +250

Von Miller (DEN)                   +400

Kahlil Mack (OAK)                 +400

Joey Bosa (LAC)                     +800

Luke Kuechly (CAR)               +1200

Aaron Donald (LAR)              +1200

J.J. Watt, who missed most of last season, is the +250 favorite. Watt should be a terror at the DE position. But his numbers may not be as stellar this season as they have been in the past.

For years, Houston has been 1 of the top 2 teams in the terrible AFC South. The terrible AFC South is good this season.

Per head agents shouldn’t expect too many dollars wagered on Watt at +250. Other options exist that could garner way more betting money.

One of those options, of the players above that agents should pay attention to, is Joey Bosa with the L.A. Chargers.

Bosa missed the first 4 games of his rookie season. He still managed to record 41 tackles and 10.5 sacks.

That’s an amazing number because the AFC West is one of the deepest divisions in the NFL.

Make sure max betting limits are set on all players above. Especially pay attention to wagers on Joey Bosa. At 8 to 1, he’s a dynamite option for both casual and pro players.

NFL Defensive Player of the Year Dogs

Vic Beasley (ATL)                   +4000

Earl Thomas (SEA)                 +4000

Jalen Ramsey (JAX)                +6600

All three defensive football players above could garner action. Vic Beasley is my top choice to get the most action from the 40+ odds NFL Defensive Player of the Year choices.

Beasley could do some incredible things this season. He could improve upon his 15.5 sacks and 39 combined tackles in 2016.

Eyes will be on both Jalen Ramsey and Earl Thomas.

Eyes will be on Ramsey because it’s his second season in the NFL, and he was great his rookie season. Eyes will be on Thomas because Earl returns after suffering a catastrophic injury last season.

If Thomas comes back strong, it might be difficult to keep him from earning the NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award.

Make sure max betting limits are in place. Also, take wagers off the board if the action becomes too much.
