The NBA Finals will begin on Thursday June 1st, 2017 where the Golden State Warriors will host the Cleveland Cavaliers.
This will be the rubber match, since this will now mark the third consecutive year in a row that these two teams will face each other in the NBA Finals.† The Warriors won the first time in 2015, and then the Cavs won last year. This is the first time in the history of the NBA that the same two teams will face each other for the third consecutive year in the NBA Finals.† (It will also mark the 7th straight NBA Finals appearance for LeBron James.)
For fans of Basketball and pay per head Agents that have been taking action on the NBA Playoffs it has been an uninteresting and costly first three rounds of playoff basketball.† Both the Warriors and the Cavs have not only reached the Finals for a third consecutive time, but have done it in an even more dominating fashion then any of their other previous Finals runs.† The Cavs only lost 1 of their 13 playoff games, and they won 7 of those games by more than double digits. As if that was not impressive enough, the Warriors have out done the Cavs by winning all of their 12 playoff games, and they won 10 of those games by more than double digits.
Hopefully everything will change now for fans and pay per head bookies, because there is no question that these two teams are far and above better than any other teams in the league, and the result should be a highly entertaining and close contest.† The Cavs have the best player in the League in LeBron James, and then a list of former NBA All Stars and the Warriors have former MVPís Stephen Curry, and Kevin Durant, and their own list of former NBA All Stars.
The Warriors are entering this series as a -260 favorite to win the Title, with the Cavs being the underdog at +210.† As of now the action has been coming in at almost a 2 to 1 clip on the underdog Cavs, with the public betting fans taking a liking to the plus odds price of the dog.† Regardless of who wins the series, it should at least prove to be a highly competitive series, with some big clutch moments at the end of each game, and with PPH bookies making some extra money on increased betting volumes.
