Jailed Mobster Threatened to Kill Federal Prosecutor

Authorities claim that mobster Vinny Asaro, portrayed in the film “Goodfellas”, has allegedly been discussing a hit on a federal prosecutor while behind bars.

“We need to handle this and do something about this b---h,” Asaro allegedly told another inmate while behind bars.

Asaro previously beat a case whereby he was accused in the brazen 1978 Lufthansa heist that inspired a scene in the “Goodfellas” movie.  He is currently behind bars following charges of arson in March.

While authorities have not named the prosecutor, it is believed to be Assistant U.S. Attorney Nicole Argentieri.

Another time, Asaro said, “We need to do something about this b---h, and not f--k it up like Vinny. We need to handle this," the feds said in papers filed Tuesday night.

The “Vinny” in question is believed to be former acting Bonanno boss Vinny Basciano who is currently serving a life sentence.

Asaro’s reference to Basciano was "chilling," federal prosecutors wrote Tuesday.

Prosecutors say they've got video recordings and prison records to back their information on Asaro.
