While the 2017 Oscar betting odds for Best Director and Best Supporting Actress will most certainly result in winners for the posted favorites, the risk versus reward is substantial.

Best Director will go to Damien Sayre Chazelle for La La Land, this is a given.

Problem is you have to bet $1000 just to win a measly $10.

There are plenty of other Oscar categories available for La La Land that do not require such a hefty bet.

Best Supporting Actress will go to Viola Davis for Fences.

She’s priced at 1-22 or -220, thus requiring a $220 bet to win $10.

It’s guaranteed money so odds are good the books will see pros wagering over $1000 (assuming this does not go over the max for these types of entertainment bets) in order to win an easy $50 and up.
