When the New York Islanders Head Coach Jack Capuano was relieved of his duties a couple days ago, he became the second NHL Coach to be fired in the 2016-17 season.

Back at the end of November, Gerard Gallant was surprisingly let go by the Florida Panthers becoming the first NHL Coach to go.

Capuano was on a lot of people’s radar since the Islanders have been one of the worst teams in the league this season.

Online bookie agents should have had max betting limits set to make sure they didn’t suffer a huge loss for Capuano. Having the right risk management tools is key to prop bets.

So who will be the next to go?

Price per head agents and online bookies will want to familiarize themselves with some of the candidates as well as keep an eye out for when the lines are updated for the third coach to be canned.

Willie Desjardins - Vancouver Canucks

There were many who thought Desjardins would already be gone by this time.

After the team got off to a hot start, they have struggled and he has survived rumors for the last several months. There is, however, a good chance he could be the next to go.

Paul Maurice - Winnipeg Jets

Winnipeg has a lot of young talent but so far it hasn’t resulted in a winning record.

Currently the team is outside looking in on a playoff berth and Maurice will need to get things going in the right direction to survive.

Glenn Gulutzan - Calgary Flames

The first-year Flames head coach is probably the dark horse for the next NHL Coach to be fired.

There were some rumors earlier in the season that Gulutzan’s job could be in jeopardy even though he was just getting started.

But the expectations for this team were high and that can always put added pressure on the coach.

The team has been playing right around .500 hockey most of the year but fans and ownership expect more.

Next Steps for Price Per Head Agents

With Capuano now off the board, a new group of candidates has emerged for price per head agents and online bookies to look at.

Some of the possible candidates are mentioned in this article but once updated odds are posted there may be some others added to the list.

As we get closer to playoff season, expectations for many teams could add a little more pressure. That means if bookies don’t have NHL Coach to be fired prop bets – they should start now.

What bookies and agents can do in the mean time is use their Mass Editing and their Schedule Limit Override tools provided by PayPerHead.com to turn off wagers for coaches until the new odds are out.

If price per head agents and online bookies don’t have these tools, they don’t have the right agent platform.
