Books Get Banged Up a Bit Early on Despite Big Upsets

A number of games witnessed major upsets but the books were most exposed to Pittsburgh early when all was said and done with the Steelers managing a sneak 4-point cover in the end.

That’s not to say it was a total bloodbath early Sunday…..far from it.

The books did make out nicely with Green Bay’s failed cover in Chicago despite winning that game by 3 points.  The Packers were a 4 to 6 point favorite in this game.

Books also made out with the OVER after a larger than usual amount of total bettors sided with the UNDER due to the extreme cold temperatures.

Books also won with Jacksonville covering the spread in Houston, the Colts manhandling of the Vikings in Minnesota and the Titans shock come-from-behind upset in Kansas City.  The combo helped propel many of the books to an early profit or break even results to offset Pittsburgh’s cover.
