Heading into the June 20-23 series with Seattle, Detroit had a record of 34-35.

The OVER was 11-4-1 in the series with mostly alternating wins between the two ball clubs.

The Tigers Probable Starting Pitchers:

Mike Pelfrey (1-7, 4.79) – MONDAY JUNE 20 – Pelfrey has been stung by the current Mariners roster, allowing 25 hits off of 76 at bats including 8 extra base hits and 3 homers.  Pelfrey (1-7) gave up four runs on seven hits and a pair of walks Wednesday in a loss against the White Sox. He struck out just one batter. (Thu Jun 16).  The OVER for the Monday game was set at 10.5 and, since only one of the last six games in which Pelfrey has started went OVER this number, we will avoid placing a wager on the total.

Justin Verlander (7-5, 3.87) TUESDAY JUNE 21 - Verlander failed to complete the seventh inning for the first time since May 3, a run that stretched across his last six starts.

Michael Fulmer (7-2, 2.43) – WEDNESDAY JUNE 22 – Fulmer has been sensational, and again, we will not want to follow the OVER trend that has graced this series of late as he has allowed only two runs in just over 38 innings pitched.

Ways for Tigers bookies to reduce their losses in 2016:

*Provide your players with live in-play betting through use of a proven offshore Pay Per Head provider such as Gambling911.com endorsed PremierPerHead.com.

*Let your players bet futures for the Tigers to win the 2016 World Series.  The odds of this happening are slim.  But a few diehards will put money on it happening just as long as you are willing to take their bet.

*Trust the Pay Per Head linesmakers.  You may find a line for a particular starting pitcher a little too attractive to sports bettors but there may be a reason behind this (Pitcher A past performance versus a particular team or left-handers).

*Encourage other forms of gambling such as player prop bets, parlays and totals wagering.
