You can bet the Nationals-White Sox game Thursday night where red hot Washington is a -125 visiting favorite against a struggling Chicago club at +113 playing host. The total was coming in at 9.
PITCHING MATCHUP: Nationals LH Gio González (3-4, 3.94 ERA) vs. White Sox RH Miguel González (0-1, 3.93)
Washington has beaten the White Sox in the last six meetings and have pounded them in the last two. Chicago, meanwhile, is just 6-20 in their last 26 overall.
Gio Gonzalez (3-4, 3.94) – He has allowed 15 hits off of 76 at bats off of Chicago hitters with only a single home run. Yeah, he’s allowed 7, 6 and 5, runs in his last three, respectively, but he had been solid before this and should bounce back against The White Sox.
Miguel Gonzalez is back in the rotation following a demotion. He replaces Carlos Rodon due to neck discomfort. He pitched well in three earlier starts yielding just six earned runs over that time period but gave up six runs and nine hits in his lone start versus Washington last year.
