The obvious knock on this scenario is the idea of two women on the ticket.  Many pundits believe the American people as a whole may not be quite ready for this.  After all, Hillary is vying to become the first woman President of the United States.

Others point to Warren being “too Liberal”, but then again she has the best shot of reeling in Bernie Sanders supporters.

The Clinton campaign has also said they want someone who can get down and dirty with Donald Trump.  Senator Warren has already gotten into the mud with the presumptive GOP nominee via Twitter.

Warren said during a commencement speech before Bridgewater State University:

“Heck, on my day of graduation, I never imagined I would visit foreign countries. I never imagined I would be a commencement speaker. I never imagined I would get into a Twitter war with Donald Trump.”

The crowd erupted into applause.

T.A. Frank of Vanity Fair suggests that picking Elizabeth Warren as a running mate would be a big mistake for Hillary Clinton.

A good running mate has to do two things: help you win the White House and be good company once you win it. Warren doesn’t pass these two tests.

People think Warren would make a good V.P. because, with Sanders still in the race, Clinton risks losing the support of the left. But that will change once Sanders withdraws. Suddenly, the alternative is Trump.

Democrats do see the two as a dream pair.  This mostly has to do with the theory that Bernie Sanders supporters will opt to stay home Election Day if someone the likes of Warren is not on the Democratic ticket.

Democratic strategist and presidential campaign veteran Jamal Simmons told The Hill the longer Sanders stays in the race, the more likely Clinton will select Warren.

“I think so more every day,” he said. “[Warren] solves so many problems: enthusiasm, women, young liberals, older white liberals.”

The idea of Warren being chosen is hardly far-fetched as news has surfaced that Clinton’s aides are pushing for the prospect.

"Having been around Hillary when Elizabeth is talked about, there's not much — she doesn't have bad feelings toward Elizabeth," one adviser told the Huffington Post. Another advisor said that Warren has "very influential people in the campaign pushing for her."
